Actually, last year was the first year I had ever seen one. I collected a gravid female in Irion County (just to the west of San Angelo), photographed her and her hatchlings, and released them. I do know for a fact that they occur in Schleicher, Irion, Sutton, Tom Green, and Sterling counties. I even have a few "spots" where people have seen them. Let me know when you can make it out this way and we could go looking for the little boogers. I do have photos and slides of the aforementioned animals if needed.
