If you can tell us the location where you caught it that would probably drastically narrow it down since many species of map turtle are endemic to specific river systems. Only a few share the same range. Barbour's maps are found in the Appalachicola, Chipola, and Flint Rivers of southern Georgia and the panhandle of Florida. Blacknob maps are found in River systems in Louisiana and Alabama.
