Extra vertebral scute. It was all in the extra vertebral scute ("if you know what to look for"). Young animals look completely different from the adults (adult pictured).

Again, absolutely wonderful guess the ID photo!!!

Looking forward to the answer on the other one...that one still has me a bit worried.
