And Maxx wins the prize! Geomyda japonica. Same genus as the spengleri (Geomyda spengleri) which is often found in the pet trade in the United States but a larger and more eastern cousin. (Maxx: contact Darrell for my contact info if you still want to chat about microchips)
I will post similar pictures on occasion if there is interest. No prizes- just some ID fun! I love a good challenge as much as the next turtle geek.
