Your turtle is known as Rhinoclemmys pulcherima manni (Painted wood turtle or Central American wood turtle). This species is from Central America (Nicaraqua and Costa Rica). They require a tropical environment to thrive in captivity. You should be able to find captive care sheets readily on one of the many turtle/tortoise websites. Post any specific questions you may have on the general questions turtle forum.
