:::The mud snake (Farancia abacura) is one of Florida's most strikingly beautiful snakes. They seldom bite, but do not make good captives due to their habitat & diet requirements. They are extremely aquatic & feed primarily on amphiumas & sirens. The animal would need to be set up in a huge aquarium. Some may take ranid frogs in captivity, but I would not count on it. The snake you found would probably be better off being released very near where you found it.
