Apparently they do now... I suppose no one ever told this snake its range. I had several people say that it must be a smooth earth snake from the description I gave, which makes sense. But It is not. It is a flat headed snake. (even took it to MSU and got it confirmed) I wish I could get a decent pic to show everyone so you dont think I am nuts. But, flat headed snakes are known to be in Arkansas so it is not that far out of its established range. Thanks for the input.
