If its the same film i'm thinking of, the species i remember is Cyclura cornuta and Iguana iguana, might be that a Tupinambis also stared.

:Okay, lots of you guys must have seen this 1959 masterpiece with James Mason & Pat Boone!
:What kind of lizards played dinosaurs in this movie? The first ones dressed up as dimetrodons, looked like iguanas. What kind? & later on in the film in the lost city, what kind of lizard (painted orange!) is the one that gets washed away by lava? Is it a tegu or a big skink or what?
