But I found a picture of L. strictigaster on line and although he looks similar, Butch's underside is very spotted rather than striped. Butch doesn't have the blue spots on the side either. Is this individual variation or a mystery lizard?

:Both the northern and exuma island curly tails are sub species of Leiocephalus carinatus, but I think you have a L. strictigaster. Though I don't know for sure, the greatest problem being lack of photographs of the seperate species and subspecies.
