:I *think* this may be an Agama atricollis, but I'm not sure. I aquired it a few days ago and they told me it was a "bulldog" lizard from Africa. It's mossy green with a dark spot on each side just above the shoulder. This morning I saw the throat was a deep royal blue whereas it wasn't before. I went to get my camera to photo the new color and it disappeared (the blue color). So, any thoughts as to the genus/species? I would appreciate any help. I think it may be arboreal.

I´ve got the same problem as you. Your lizard look like mine.Maybe it is Agama atricollis, my lizard is from Tanzania in Africa. It has got the same colour and it has got blue colour under its neck or on the head sometimes. They are arboreal, they live mostly in trees. If you want more information try to find iFauna on Yahoo. It is magazine about animals but it is in Czech.I will send you this information if you want. vlado
