possibly a western skink? I think that size is a little too large for them, but they look alot like the counterpart of the fivelined and broadheaded skinks of the east. Another idea is maybe some sort of whiptail or racerunner, if they even occur there. I am not big on lizards so I can't help you much with species or anything. Just an idea.
