What type of lizard is this?

It's a female, I know that much :\. My friend gave it to me since he is moving to France, and he told me how to care for it all that, but I forget what he said it was.

Also, she is on woodchips in the picture, but my friend said it should be on sand (which Ive bought since taking the pic). Just we didn't want it to be in an empty tank, so we put the woodchips in for the time being.
