I will be the first to say that is oh so true derek. I have seen copulation many times myself and yet to see no babies or to see slugs pop out. Always look at it as if whatever you get you still will be happy with the results and learn from what you made mistakes on and look back and try to ptrevent it from happening again. And here's what I call a money shot although this clutch was small only 5 in all and 2 slugs they were all red.
