: Herpetological Societies generally have 3 levels for shows.

: Stage 1. At a meeting, people usually get a show as well as live animals to see and buy. There may be admission fees to attend or it may be free.
: (VHS has never charged admission and has always relied on the generousity of the raffle.)

: Stage 2. At an Expo, people expect to see a lot of animals for sale but no shows. It generally takes a lot of Herp Breeders to make this successful. There is an admission fee to cover renting the room and vendors purchase table space.

: Stage 3. At a Symposium, people choose from several shows to see as well as see even more animals for sale. Symposiums take the largest amount of people to be successful. Admission and vendor tables are higher to cover greater expenses.

: Right now VHS is around Stage 1. We do not have any current members showing or selling Herps at our meetings; but we could. As long as the animals are healthy and feeding, it would be nice to see more of them there.

: Joe
