It was my first TX Tortoise Sighting this year. It was one large adult that tried to hurry away before I got too close. When I did, it hid inside it's shell for a little while. It also turned itself around with it's head tucked in so it would face the opposite direction from me. Then it made it's hasty get-away into the brush and it was probably happy to do so. Thus concludes another happy herp story in the life of Joe Rigdon. I hope everyone enjoyed it.
