March trip to Val Verde Co. ranch (photo)

Tim, Roni and I went out to the ranch two weeks ago. Temperatures were near freezing in the morning hours but the sun was bright and hot. We saw four species of lizards, three types of snakes and had a real blast. There has been a lot of rain and everything is just beautiful.

We should all make a field-trip out there sometime. There is only so much that can be learned by keeping animals or reading about them. Field-work is essential to really understanding herps.
