If your local vet is afraid to mess with a venomous snake, I can get the vet I work with to talk to him or her and explain how the owner will be presenting the animal at the clinic inside a sealed and locked box, and the animal removed for examination only after it is fully anesthetized and unconscious.

All the vet has to do is put 1cc of isoflourane into the box through a tiny needle hole which you will have drilled in advance and taped a cotton ball on the other side of the hole. More vets will be comfortable with that kind of setup.

Don't hesitate to drop me an email if you have any more questions or you need more detailed instructions on building an isoflourane box.
