:1. Bud is not a homosexual as far as I know.
:2. If Bud was a homosexual, his sexual preference would not be relevant.
:3. That kind of homophobic language is a needless insult to many good and decent people who have contributed a lot to herpetoculture. "Gay" does not mean "evil".
:I really don't know whether Bud made the call or not. He denies that he did. It is possible that he is lying. It is also possible that Mr. Ritchey is not telling the truth. I don't know and can't judge from here. You can't either. Leave it to the police to decide. In the meantime, please try to stop being such an offensive bigot.
:You might be surprised at how many respected people in this field are gay. Some of them may even be people that you know and like, or people whose published work you have read. I don't think they appreciate your choice of language. I know that I don't.
I actually have to agree with you on this one. The imaturity is not needed. This is a terrible thing that has been started and the name calling should stop, I did it by saying "spineless slugs" and I was wrong. I think there needs to be some mature, educated, and civil statements made.
