most of the time I keep my leaders of the rattlesnake world on newspaper with a cardboard hide box and a small water boal that cannot be tipped over but if you want to make a great display of them use rock and gravel and sand with cactus.
they like a dry humidity but will do ok with a higher humidity.
have fun i have kept and bred them for many years.
my most loyal snake is a mojave.
