I keep Costa Rican Polyvalent on hand. I have a simple procedure in hand, but most importantly emergency contacts with experience either in treating snakebite, or those who have been bitten and treated with this specific serum.
I've added the link to a related discussion from the Viperidae forum some time ago. I agree it should be kept on hand or at the very least, an agreement with an institution for acess to their supplies should be sought (of course this is probably an excercise in futility).
