Slight Venomoid Rant, Sorry

Now, usually I try to see the "other side" of the whole venomoid issue, but this time I just fail to be able to do that. One of my favorite species of elapids (rinkhals spitter), a species I might ad that is almost never imported and once in a lifetime do you see captive born, have recently made their way into this country. It seems a certain person acquired a number of these snakes from the importer, and is now posting an ad on the venomous classifieds that he will have venomoids of them here very soon (I'm guessing as soon as they've started eating again on their own). He also has one that is still hot and is asking a rediculously high price for. I'm sorry, but the simple fact that these animals are such a rarity in this country makes me wonder why he'd want to buy up most if not all of the whole lot the importer brought in, just to hack away at?? I mean really, how many of the 8 he's maiming are going to live more than a few months from now?? You know, I was wondering why those snakes disappeared so quickly from the importer's list, now it seems pretty evident. If I'm incorrect and the person offering the venomoids did not get the recent imported "c.h." babies (rinkhals are, after all, live bearing elapids not egg layers), then I apologize, but it seems a bit of a coincidence if that is so. Anyway, thank you for letting me vent a bit.
