Ever notice how much water beads up on an eyelash viper? Is that an adaption to collect as much water as possible for consumption, considering their almost strictly arboreal nature? I've watched my baby drink almost exclusively from the water collected on his scales......also the unique shape of their head will collect a sizeable amount of water, which when they tilt their head to drink from their body, will actually drain the "head water" onto their body to allow them to drink that as well. Are there any other vipers known to do this?
