I'll have to respectfully disagree with you on a few points...

>>>there are a few concerns I have about this show reading through the rules which make me think that its turnout will most likely be less than good.<<<

I believe that just the runoff from the Breeder Expo and the sheer number of reptile enthusiasts that will be in Daytona that weekend will make for a great turnout.

>>>I might as well just buy the animal from a company over the net, have it shipped here, and avoid having to make the trip to the FL show.<<<

Not all breeders have websites and there's something to be said for seeing an animal in person before purchasing it. I prefer to speak with the breeder and examine the health of an animal rather than just seeing a picture on a website.

>>>Thirdly, they won't allow anyone under 18 to even enter the show, period. Sorry, but that's a bit restrictive in my eyes. <<<

I disagree. The vendors will be busy enough without having to worry about children running around the show trying to put their hands on everything. I'm all for education but there are other places to teach your children about venomous snakes.

Sure, there are some restrictions that might create an inconvenience but I'm glad to finally see a venomous expo in FL that seems to be done right.
Chris
