I noticed the posts about this snake pit. The business it is in is called the Daniel Boone Trading Post. They vene advertise it on the flyers. My family has stopped there as long as I can remember, and until recently has been a tradition. On a stop about a year ago we stopped in. We have never really paid attention to the snake pit. Well I stopped in. It was interesting to see all those snakes in the same enclosure. Especially seeing that they had King Snakes in with Copperheads, which as most know, the King Snakes eat Copperheads. When I brought this to the attention of one of the individuals there, they replied "Yeah it's a heck of a fight." What bothered me further was to go inside and see the collection of Rattlesnake parts that were preserved and made into averything from belts to Tie Tacks!. They also have the notorious coiled rattlesnake poised ready to strike, with some substance glued to it's fangs that looks like dripping venom.

needless to say we enjoy the Kentucky Reptile Zoo as our stop on the way to the state park now.
