inquisitive yes they are that indeed, our mali runs up to me anytime I am putting food in his enclosure and taste my had to see if I have anything better than veggies...both our uros get cooked brown rice and lentil once in a while they love as well as steamed mashed sweet potatoe, I give it to them once in a while when i have left overs after filling my birds dishes.

Sorry to hear about having to part with your amazons they are beautiful intelligant birds, and the only parrot the itimidates me for some reason I think it's all I have heard and read of how males get when they hit sexual maturity and how aggressive they can get at that time. I completely understand your dilema of finding a new home for them, and making sure they will get the proper care they need,I agree there are lots of people out there that just don't have a clue when it comes to caring for parrots they have a funny idea that they eat just seeds, and can sit in their cage all the time only to come out to show off to friends or family. I hope you find a good home for them, it's never easy to part with members of your family I feel the same way about all my pets.
