It takes about 3 years for them to get to a decent size and up to 8 years to stop growing. From what I have been told many of the older wild caught specimens are not tame. I talked to Lindsay Pike a while back and he said they get shipments of adult wild caughts every few years into Fl. You may want to give him a call as he also breeds egyptians.
