A cactus question

My husband picked some cactus that grow wild all around. They are just regular native florida cactus. He is convinced that the Uro's would love it and would be good for them but I am concerned and haven't fed any yet. If chopped up would it be okay to give. I know my neighbor feeds it chopped up to his chuckwallas. They are from an area that is pesticide free.
