Building my own cage

I was thinking of building my own cage for Odin and was wondering if any of u guys ever built ur own cage. Can a cage be too big? Odins about 7 1/2" and i nee some demensions for the cage. also what would be the best material to use wood or glass? I find uros so adicting and was thinking of getting an egyptian uro. Could someone give me a caresheet on Egyptians cause i find them sooooo cool. thanx
