That's terrible! If they don't know what they are doing, just imagine the information they are giving out to prospective pet owners! A recipe for disaster. Around where I live, you would call your local humane society and they usually have a humane officer that will take a report and look into a situation. I did that when I went in to a pet shop and the reptile cages were dirty, the one poor uro was on cedar bedding with a large water bowl, a bunch of crickets, a piece of head lettuce, temp around 80 and it was severely dehydrated. The young man tried to fix the enclosure while I put the poor guy in my winter jacket and he died right there! The humane officer visited them and they were told to get their act together or they would be fined or worse yet, closed. Haven't been there since, but I am planning on returning to check the condition. Please don't let this alone, find someone to help you!

:It's just this one, I've been to three others in the area and they have been friendly and nice. The one I used to live by, they got to know me because I was in there so much. If I complained about something, if it was a problem it would be taken care of within the next two days. I think the conditions are serious enough to be calling the ASPCA, because it's not just one reptile that is having problems, it in nearly all of them. I was also thinking about calling the fishing and wildlife society or something like that, my brother gave me a number. I was thinking about getting a job there, but nevermind. They probably wont have anymore reps.

::Are the conditions serious enough to get the ASPCA (the animal welfare society, I'm not sure if my abbreviation is correct) involved? Maybe you could contact the head office of "Animal House" and find out if this is how all their stores do business or is this particular store skirting regulations on the upkeep and management of their animals. Hope things work out for you. Good luck.
