Pond owners in Cheltenham will be able to get a private consultation with a frog doctor. Help is at hand for people worried that their gardens will be overrun with the amphibians when the mating season starts in spring.
Severn Trent Water's environmental adviser Colin Green, who will be manning the phone lines, said: "Frogspawn can overwhelm your pond to such an extent you could be left thinking you will be swamped with hundreds of frogs.
"But only one or two will make it to be an adult."
The frog doctor will be taking calls from 10.30am to 3pm next Tuesday on 01242 680840.
