This ruling means isolated or temporary bodies of waters, such as small lakes, ponds, swamps, marshes, and vernal ponds which are not connected to navigable waters - where most amphibians and many reptiles live and breed - will receive minimal, if any, protection under this act, even if they contain endangered species.
A great deal of time is spent worrying about why the amphibians of the world are in decline, and soon, in the United States, it will be because of our own government as this ruling is a direct invitation to mass extinctions of amphibians and other wildlife.
