Depends on the species. You will need Cities Export and Import paperwork (http://www.ukcites.gov.uk ). Check with the airline if they require health certificates too. The animal will have to go as cargo not as hand baggage. The airline you use will be able to tell you the requirements for packaging.
Its not a simple task !!!! Paperwork can take around 2 months to prepare.
