Basically collards are what we Brits call Spring cabbage.
Most supermarkets carry it for most of the yr.
I can get it from Morrisons & Asda supermarkets most days,
(I keep tortoise)so a regular supply is important.

::Ok, i've checked again. Collard greens are actually the same
:as what we call spring greens here. So yes, you can get them, i guess they're just seasonal though.

::::OK, I give up. Can you get collard greens anywhere in the UK? Is this some US name thats different here in the UK? Argh!
