THE SUN (London, UK) 12 August 02 Wife feeds herself to crocs
A wife killed herself by leaping into a pit of 100 hungry CROCODILES yesterday as holidaymakers watched in horror.
Somjai Serabul, 32, waited until feeding time at a crocodile farm then jumped in from a bridge.
The reptiles — open-jawed as tourists were being handed buckets of chicken to throw — scrambled to devour her.
Onlookers told how the woman hugged one of the creatures as she was torn to pieces at Samut Prakarn Crocodile Farm, near Bangkok, Thailand.
Visitors to the popular tourist attraction tried to distract the frenzied reptiles with the chickens.
Canadian Miles Sutherland, 52, said: “The crocs were thrashing about, fighting over her body.”
A suicide note in her handbag complained about her husband.
