Hi Steve,
Thanks a lot for your reply. I seem to remember that somebody told me that it was not possible to feed snakes with alive prey (mice) in UK. I wondered if it was true or not.
I am Czech and I am therefore presently not from EU. Do you think it makes a difference?
Regards,
Petr
: Hi Petr,
: As far as I am aware there are no regulations on keeping kings and rats in the UK... ( although if
: the RSPCA get their way, there may be in the future ). Snakes such as corns, kings and rats
: are sold openly in reptile shops throughout the
: UK ( I have 6 myself ). Also, I do not believe
: that snakes are subject to quarantine laws when
: they are imported, but obviously check that one
: out before you travel.. I am assuming that you are
: from the EU ??
: Hope this helps,
: Steve.
: : Hello,
: : Would anybody be so kind and tell me what regulation (if any) exist in Great Britain (in England) on keeping non-poisonous, non-CITES snakes, such as kingsnakes and ratsnakes. (I might move to England for couple of years.)
: : Any information appreciated.
: : Thanks,
: : Petr
