:The last one I saw (and only one in TX) was just north of Del Rio and was unfortunately DOR back in July. It was a nice-looking snake though. Sorry I'm not much help, I just like seeing new messages in this forum! :)

Thanks Chris & Crish. I really appreciate the info & photos. I had been told that there was a great deal of color differences in different habitats. Note to self: need to get out herping more weekends next year...
