I live around Houston next in a heavily wooded area. I am positive that they are coral snakes and have seen at least three different ones in the yard. I have small children like the guy a few posts down, and want to be rid of the snakes, but I don't know how to find their nest, where they might nest (under ground?), or how to encourage them to leave. I have used moth balls in the past, but am not sure how well they work on coral snakes. Anyway, I think I have a nest of these supposedly rare snakes somewhere under my large wooden deck (next to my pool). What do I do? How many do you think would be in a nest? Any help is appreciated.
