I returned from a trip to Australia in April, having driven 7,000 miles in two weeks looking for herps--equivalent to driving from LA to NYC, back to LA, then to Houston!

It's a long ways simply to get to the HIGHWAY to Big Bend (from Interstate 10). Then it's ANOTHER few hours south to the park! Bring some CDs, and earplugs won't hurt either! (after hours of road noise, you'll be glad you did).
