The Brazos Valley Herp society will hold their March 2002 meeting on Thursday, March 21 at the College Station Library at 7:00 pm.
Our guest speaker this Month will be Dr. Kathryn Vaughn speaking her recent work with the huge Asian turtle confiscation in Hong Kong that resulted in 11,800 rare and endangered turtles being shipped to the US and other countries for rehab.
Dr. Vaughn is the Associate Curator of Herpetology and Ichthyology at the Texas Cooperative Wildlife Collection here at Texas A&M University, and a past president of the Texas Herpetological Society.
It is sure to be a fascinating look at the asian turtle trade.
