I agree with the last post, call Texas Parks and Wildlife. But i can save you a call on the aligator snapper. LEAVE EM ALONE! Absolutely protected.You cant even keep the shell from one even if you found it dead. Im a taxidermist in Fort Worth and am painfully aquainted with the game laws. A lesson ill pass to you is, when in doubt, call it in. I once got in trouble over haveing a crow in my posesion. Aparently crows are a protected bird in Texas and its not even lawful to posses one single feather of a crow. So with Texas game laws, its best to go to the horses mouth and ask a game warden or call TPW
