i go up there quite a bit cause my grandparents used to live there before they recently died. going up in about three weeks to wheeler, wheeler county, tx(2 hours form amarillo, 40 mls from pampa). There was an article by D. bartlett about herping the panhandle in R&A hobbyist a while ago around april or so.
