Anygood herping spots near Houston???

i live in houston and i was wondering where some good heroing spots are. They have to be relatively close, as i am not able to drive yet and will have to have my parents take me. They hate it so theyll have to drop me off, so it cant be too far from houston. Any help of where and what species are predominant in that area will be appreciated. Im getting tired of the watersnakes and cottonmouths in my area so i need some new places to go. Thanks in advance. I also have apic of the leucistic alligator from the Houston Zoo.
