Why is my turtle itchy?

Hey, I found the RIGHT forum! Anyway, what causes a Reeve's Turtle to keep rubbing (scratching) his carapace against one particular rock in his aquarium. He actually rubs against it aggressively! His shell seems to be healthy & strong.
