I'm from Massachusetts. I'm not sure I can get a permit, but I'll look into it.

Kinda funny. As a kid, I used to find spotteds all the time. I think what happened was spotteds became rare sometime in the late 80s early 90s. So now there is concern for the species up here.
I find this interesting because as a kid, spotteds were common and painteds were rare. Now its the other way around. I guess the painteds took over the habitats.
