Overloaded on Snails,

Does anyone know how to get rid of these pesky critters? I must have had a few on the plants I put in my baby mata's tank, because now they've overrun it. They are laying eggs on the Mata itself and everywhere else, getting into the filter and clogging it. It's a horrible mess. And the Mata, of course, isn't the least bit interested in eating snails.

Does anyone know of any way to get rid of them short of dismantling the whole tank and sterilizing it?
