Musk turtle

Someone has asked me to keep a musk turtle that needs a new home. However, firstly i would like to know a bit about them. Could some one who has experience with these or knows anything about these tell me the basic care for these turtles. e.g. what water temp, and can they hibernate, could they possibly live in an outdoor pond in the UK for any part of the year etc? Any info about these is welcome.
