I am in the process of creating an indoor pond setup(100 gallons)with the intent of housing several different North American species. This indoor pond will be made with land area and shallow areas, as I would like to add mud and musk variety, as well as another basking turtle. I currently have a southern painted in a 55 gallon aquarium. How do three-stripe muds do with common musks and painteds? I have heard many things, from attacking musk turtles to everything fine and dandy. The mud will have quite a large land area to occupy, and i will have various basking spots and shallow spots so that the turtles don't all fight over the same area. Does anyone have experience with such a set-up? and how is this best maintained?
