i bought a mud turtle from the petstore awhile back and low and behold she laid eggs as soon as i got her home. well thinking that they must be infertile i put them in the incubator 4 months ago with the off chance that they would hatch. well guess what, one hatched today and the other one is definitly on the move out. i am totally caught off guard with this. i put the 1st one in a 10 gallon tank with just enought water so it would cover the floor. i put a tuperware lid in there so he could climb out. i also put a heat light on him to keep him warm enough. today i soaked some turtle pellets in warm water until they were mushy. i then tried to feed him. he ate one or two bites but that was it. HELP!! i am totally caught off guard and unprepared. this is my first clutch off anything!! someone with some experience raising turtle babies please respond ASAP. he seems very lively so far and i would like to keep him that way! thanks, niki
