: Lisa, do you want the egg eaters?.....the male has a slight pattern and the femal is pretty much just green. They've been fed heavily 2 times since we got them in October (eggs are hard to come by) Lately though Cockatiels have been dropping eggs like crazy, so feeding time is approaching. They are still perfectly healthy, it amazing how long they can go without eating. Anyway, they do the really cool saw scale mimick that is actually louder than an echis. It's so cool. anyway, we have been thinking of getting rid of them, they take up a cage that will be better utilized by something that might breed for us. I'll have to talk to george about the price.

Ooh! You tempt me!! But I don't know where I'd get a steady-(ish)supply of appropriately sized eggs. I've read where chicken eggs are either way too big, or too high in fat, cholesterol, and Salmonella. And I don't know where I'd get Cockatiel or dove eggs reliably. I know Dan Finnegan used to raise button quail (or something similar)- not sure if he still does.

But I'll definitely consider it, let me know of the price.

: Yes, that is the same banded egytpian, he's calmed down though, only strikes at us about 10 times a day now.

*ONLY?!?!* ;)

: It's funny though, we HAD only 39 snakes, but just over the weekend before I posted this, we got the mex black kings, the 2 RTBs and the male red spitter......we're going to make little red killing machines.....hee hee.............kidding, I heard that the babies are adorable. anyway, talk to you later.........

: Todd

Wonderful! Red spitters are probably my favorite cobra. They are so gorgeous! Too bad they are um, *DEADLY*!!! I've seen pix of baby cobras, and they are definitely cute.

Funny, one day last week I had a dream/nightmare that I was hit square in the eyes by a spitter. No real plot to the dream, it was loose in a room I was in, and it got me. Wierd thing is I could actually "feel" the pain in my eyes associated with it. In the dream I was able to get out of the room and wash out my eyes... then I woke up. Guess that footage of Steve Irwin in Africa with the red spitter stuck with me! ...crazy...
