Zac,

This is Lisa's thing, but incase you are itching to write something, I thought I would step up. As far as guidelines, such as you listed, it is pretty loose. Mainly we aim towards an educated, but not to technical of an audience. The photo part I will leave up to Lisa to address, as I don't know if photos are an issue or not.
